Loon Lake Swimming

This past weekend Tom and Timber brought me to Loon Lake (near desolation wilderness). We camped out on Saturday night and then went kayaking on Sunday. I enjoyed the kayaking part, and I really enjoyed going onto a little island in the middle of Loon Lake and being set free to run around and sniff everything. On our way back to the truck I fell out of the kayak and had a good swim. The rest of the trip back from that point saw me whining and shivering because I was cold. It was a fun trip!

Walk'n'Wag

This past weekend Tom and Timber brought me with them to the Walk'n'Wag, a big fund raiser for the Silicon Valley Humane Society. Of course I went with them. There were a lot of dogs and people there, and I did pretty well until I started to get tired and grumpy. Then I would snap and lunge. But that's why Tom kept me on a short leash and kept the muzzle on me. I'm a nice dog, really, I am. :-)

Monterey Trip With The Family

On Wednesday, August 9th, Tom and Timber took the day off and brought me with them to Monterey. They were going to do some kayaking for Tom's birthday, but since we didn't get there until the early afternoon they decided to not do the kayaking and instead walk around Monterey in the Fisherman's Wharf area with me. I'm certainly glad they chose to do that. I enjoyed seeing the bocce ball courts at the Pacific House as well as the whale bone sidewalk. I even got to see some harbor seals and have some Canadian geese hiss at me. I really like Monterey because it is nice and cool there most of the time. I would like it even better if it had snow and lambs running around all over the place.

Niles Dog Show & Drigon Park

The weekend of August 2nd Tom and Timber brought me to the Niles Dog Show and then later to Drigon Dog Park in Union City. The dog show was pretty cool overall. I got to hang out under the canopy that Diane and Eric had set up while everyone ate lunch. Then I got to walk around the dog show with Tom and Timber and look at the other dogs and their owners. Tom and Timber even got me into the agility course. I wasn't sure what to do, but it was fun running around jumping over stuff, bobbing and weaving around poles, and running through a tunnel. I would definitely do that again! The only drawback was that I had to wear a muzzle. I admit it, sometimes I get grumpy and am not the most friendly dog in the world. If I could get over my amnesia as to what happened to me before I met Tom and Timber I could probably figure out a way around that problem. As things stand now Tom and Timber are working with me and trying to get me more socialized with people. I don't have any problems with other dogs. After the dog show they decided that I needed more excitement, and they took me to the Drigon Dog Park in Union City, CA. That was an awesome place! They had lots of room for me to run around and play, and they also had a dog/owner tandem water fountain! The only drawback there was that a big dog ran into me at full speed while I was looking at something else and I yelped as he knocked the wind out of me. I guess I need to keep my wits about me. Overall it was a pretty good weekend to be a dog.
