This would be totally cool. I wonder what kind of gas mileage improvement I would get. If I'm getting 50 - 60 mpg now, a 20 % improvement would get me to 60 - 72 mpg. That is something to consider once gas prices go up more. Assuming that gas is $3 a gallon now, I can get 120 miles on 2 G = $6. The equivalent price of gas for me to do the same with the hybrid would be 144 miles on 2 G = $7.20 or $3.60 a gallon.
